I recently got a windows only game through steam, so I tried running it on my MacBook(its definitely got the juice to run the game), but when I tried booting it up I got a message saying the OpenGL version wasn't good enough. Apparently I have 2.1 and it requires 3.2 or better. Since then I have looked online and it appears that OpenGL is typically managed by the maker of the video card, and further searching showed me that my macbook is capable of running OpenGL 4.1 I read not to update the version through windows as it could corrupt how the mac side would run. I can't figure out how to update the version on my Mac though. Assistance please? Edit: I seemed to have solved my own problem, leaving this post up for any future people searching for an answer.
